We provide junior athletes in the Hunter region with elite training programs designed to give them the best possible chance of success in their chosen sport.
Suitable structured training
Our strength and conditioning programs are perfect for both boys and girls aged 9 through to 17 years of age, who are striving to transition from junior sport to the professional realm. We train all levels from beginners to semi-elite junior athletes, to achieve effective results in their chosen sport.
Our programs are designed to improve our junior athletes’ in a range of different ways, by developing their:
- Physical capabilities; core strength, mobility, power, speed and functional strength
- Training intelligence; exercise theory and terminology, program structure, muscle and movement links, healthy lifestyles and nutrition
- Psychological development; work ethic, self-esteem, resilience and social skills.
Our range of hi-performance academy programs are also suitable for those kids who simply wish to lay the foundations for a life of health and fitness or are just looking to build character, confidence or self-esteem.
Our workout includes different types of training, but focuses its content and delivery around the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association’s (ASCA) recommendations for resistance training for youth and adolescents.
Our trainers are ASCA qualified and adhere to evidence-based training principles and implement best industry practice.
During their training session at our state-of-the-art facility, our junior athletes participate in age and competency based strength programs which are periodised over the course of a school term. We also undertake comprehensive fitness testing using state-of-the-art technology to measure results and progression in a range of different areas.
Junior athletes who have adequately completed general strength programs and have shown maturity for exercise execution and gym etiquette, are then given a more sport-specific program. Focus is placed on proper technique and safety with mobility/prehab exercises completed in every session.
